Goal

The goal of the Schoolwide Enrichment Cluster (SEM) is to organize multiaged groups of students who share a common interest with learning about coding and robotics. The SEM Cluster will offer STEM and be called Seminole Robomaniacs. We would like to start our own club and then enter the Wonder League Robotics Competition.

What will be done with my students

The Wonder League is a worldwide community of clubs inspiring the creators of tomorrow through robotics and coding. Every year, clubs participate in the Wonder League Robotics Competition, where they design solutions to real-world science and technology challenges.

Children will develop problem solving and creativity skills, learn about issues facing the world around them, and build meaningful relationships with their peers.

Benefits to my students

Seminole Robomaniacs will be offered during our 10 week Schoolwide Enrichment Clusters. Each cluster has 20-25 students that are multiaged (1st-5th graders). This club will also be offered as an afterschool STEM cluster at our school where 20 2nd-5th grade students could participate.

In the coming years, we should build on that progress, by … offering every student the hands-on computer science and math classes that make them job-ready on day one.

State of the Union Address

Budget Narrative

Dot is the brains of a robot. Dot comes with several games built in, such as Magic Dot Ball, Dot of Music, and Light Sword. Using free apps Wonder and Blockly, you get to make over a hundred more games with instructions in the apps.

Dash is a real robot, charged and ready to play out of the box. Responding to voice, navigating objects, dancing, and singing, Dash is the robot you always dreamed of having. Use Wonder, Blockly, and other apps to create new behaviors for Dash -- doing more with robotics than ever possible.

Launcher - This fun accessory transforms your Dash Robot into a projectile-launching machine. Because it's powered by Dash, kids can learn how simple machines like a lever works in a fun way.

Give Dash & Dot new abilities and looks by adding accessories! This package includes a bulldozer bar to clean up those toys (for Dash only), bunny ears, a bunny tail and a tow hook. In addition, for a limited time, the Smartphone Mount is being included for FREE!

Dash & Dot can use building brick connectors to play with your existing toys!
