Goal

Our goal is to decrease discipline referrals and out of school suspensions for all subgroups, and keeping students engaged in learning.

What will be done with my students

Identified students will be provided with social skills training and incentives for behavior contracts. Students will be taught how to handle specific situations which cause them anxiety in appropriate ways. Behavior contracts will be used for those students who require extrinsic/tangible motivation.

Staff will attend at least two trainings: Diversity and Classroom management to implement immediatly

Also, we will be holding several parent focus groups to strengthen the bond between home and school. We will provide a light meal/snack for families attending.

Benefits to my students

We see the combined efforts (school and home) will decrease office discipline and increase positive social interactions between students and adults.
