What will be done with my students

First we will introduce each CD during whole class instruction and practice and learn the different games on the CD, the objective of the game and how to play the games. Next we will have the students take turns on the student computers to work on their math skills individually. The teacher will monitor their progress and intervene as needed for specific skills.

Since Pinellas County Schools has been encouraging students to work on ST Math, there is not a program for Pre-K students. These CD's will help reinforce what we are learning as well learning technology within the classroom.

Benefits to my students

Not only will our class be able to work on their math skills and standards but also their technology skills. Most of our students are still learning how to use a mouse on the computer and for those that are still struggling with that skill, we have a touch screen monitor to use.

I would like to be able to increase my students knowledge and application of skills needed for:
counting, quantifying, connecting numerals with their quantities, understanding spatial relationships, understanding shapes, comparing and measuring and demonstrating a knowledge of patterns.

Describe the Students

I teach a blended Pre-K class with 7 typical students and 7 ESE students with various needs and supports.
