Goal

I always strive to be very organized so I can perform my best for my kiddos. Lately, I have been instilling the same quality in them. My goal is for the students to remove the stress from paper clutter and get organized!

What will be done with my students

During each module we have been using 3-prong folders to keep our writing in. Also, many of the ELA modules have articles that just won't keep in a composition book. Therefore, at the beginning of the year we started using what I could afford to give to them. This has been a hassle for both the students and myself. 3-prong folders and 3rd graders don't mix well. Not to mention, it has been time consuming as well. I have spent way too much time helping them get organized because the prongs are too much for them to manipulate. Which is why I need to upgrade them. I am hoping to get (18) Clearview 3-Ring Binders that are the small 1/2 inch rings to save space. Over time, I have noticed the clearview binders are more durable and last longer.

Benefits to my students

Having easy, small 1/2 inch binders would solve the current problem immediately! The many benefits for the students include: saving time, getting organized, easy open/close rings, keeping paper from falling out (yes, this has been a problem too), no more ripping or crunching of papers, and most of all....they will last for years since we will only keep them in the classroom, on a self and not in their desk! Many more students will reap the same benefits.

Describe the Students

I have a diverse set of students with 1 ESE, 1 gifted, a few high performers, some low performers, and many average performers.

Budget Narrative

The cheapest place I have found these binders are on BuyOnlineNow.com, an office supply store, at $1.89 each with $7.95 shipping. "We" appreciate any help we can get!
