Goal

My goal for this school year is to meet the diverse needs of all my students. Our curriculum is sufficient in targeting on-grade level content, but I feel I need to address above and/or below level standards to help differentiate instruction. This will require an individualized program like IXL.  

What will be done with my students

This program will be utilized during both math blocks. My classroom is departmentalized this year, so I am teaching only math and science to my class and my co-workers class. I feel that this program will help eliminate the need for printed math pages and can easily be accessed at school and at home. IXL will be used daily within the math block to target specific learning needs and differentiate independent practice. It will also be used at home, so families have the opportunity to help assist their child with additional math support that aligns to the standards. 

Benefits to my students

This IXL program will benefit 40 students as well as their families. The expected outcome is the students will work towards reaching individual, personalized learning goals. I will be able to adjust my teaching to meet individual students' needs. In addition, parents will benefit from the extra support the IXL program provides. 

Budget Narrative

I am requesting 1 classroom license for 1 teacher. This will accommodate up to 40 students. This will allow the teacher to individualize instruction for all students.
