Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 145

Total success!  Students were completely engaged in re-creating a piece by one of the Spanish artists given in class.  Students provided positive feedback about the lesson because not only it provided them with an enjoyable time in class while learning about given Spanish artists - Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dali, and Pablo Picasso; but also it provided them therapeutic moments where they were able to distress from their daily academic struggles.  Once completed, I chose top paintings and sent them to the World Languages Festival on March 2nd and all 9 of the paintings made by my students won 1st and 2nd place in the festival.  It was an awesome cultural lesson! Thank you for funding us to buy the materials to make it happen!
