Goal

To provide extra incentive for 150 juniors to pass the US History End of Course Exam.

What will be done with my students

I would like to provide every student who passes the US History End of Course (EOC) Exam with a graduation cord (which will be worn with their cap and gown on graduation day). The US History EOC Exam is a state mandated graduation requirement for all students.

Benefits to my students

Many students have told me they look forward to receiving cords at graduation for accomplishing goals they have set for themselves. The cord will provide an extra incentive for students to study even harder to pass the U.S. History exam, thereby providing a sense of accomplishment, pride and increased civic knowledge ultimately leading to better informed citizens.

Budget Narrative

Each cord is approximately $3.00 to be provided to 150 students for a total of $450.00
