Goal
The goal is to purchase 20 Isokinetics Inc. Brand 14" Diameter Exercise Disc / Balance Cushions for my students to sit on during English Language Arts.
What will be done with my students
The balance cushions will be used daily by students as a therapeutic "wiggle seat" to help calm anxious or active students. It will provide all students with a softer seat making it more comfortable learning environment. This will be a one time purchase that will be used daily throughout the school year and will help students to focus on instruction in Reading and Language Arts.
Benefits to my students
Approximately 33 students will benefit from using these balance cushions. The balance cushions can help calm active students so that they will focus on learning and instruction. As a result, the teacher will benefit by having students engaged in learning with less fidgeting. Since students sit at their desks for extended periods of time, these cushions will also provide a softer seat for all students.
