We are loving our life science! Through this grant we were able to purchase everything needed to get an aquarium up and going for our tadpoles! By having an aquarium in each of our 2nd grade classrooms, we'll get to monitor every day how tadpoles transform into frogs! Our aquariums are ready to go and our bullfrog eggs are scheduled to arrive by mail soon! Not only will we get to observe bullfrogs, but in later the spring we'll also get to observe the life cycle of a butterfly! We are certain seeing and talking about these life cycles on a regular basis will help us remember these for years to come! Thank you to the generous donations for this grant!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

Our goal is to provide materials for our students to learn and observe Life Science close up!

What will be done with my students

Students will observe and record the life cycles of frogs and butterflies in their classroom as they progress through each stage.

Benefits to my students

Having the caterpillars and tadpoles in the classrooms, students will get to see every stage of their life cycles up close! What an exciting, unforgettable event for students to see a butterfly emerge from a chrysalis, or a tadpole transform to a frog!
