Goal

It can ensure that students meet their educational needs and ensure access to the general curriculum. The goal of this grant is provide concrete learning activities to more abstract thinking and provide tools that will ease the inclusion of all students, ESE and ELL, in the general education classroom. What will be done with my students

These items will be incorporated into specially designed instruction provided by ESE and ELL teachers and support staff. Some of our students are working on general education standards and others are working on access point standards. These materials will be introduced in teacher led activities to help ensure mastery. Some items are will then be moved into the students assigned work to complete independently during small group instruction. This will provide opportunities to build on their foundation of information and create more independence.

Benefits to my students

The students who receive services in the ESE and ELL programs have a variety of needs. These students' instruction requires hands on materials and direct instruction to master concrete critical thinking skills. By using these hands on lessons and materials, the students will be able to demonstrate mastery of new skills taught throughout the school year. These materials will benefit up to 100 students within our programs. These items are not consumable, therefore able to assist students learning for several years.

Budget Narrative

The total budget for these material is $926.50. This grant will allow students to build independence while working on developmentally appropriate skills. These items will allow students to feel success and independence while they achieve higher level thinking skills.
