Goal

To use these masks in my Theatre 1 and 2 classes as enrichment for section on Greek Theatre history. The goal is for the students to decorate according to traditional comedy and tragedy masks.

What will be done with my students

Once students have decorated their own mask, they will wear them during student-generated scenes in the Greek style of choral drama.

Benefits to my students

Both the decorating and performance aspects related to these masks promote classroom engagement and learning, while also providing the student with their own take-away memory of this theatrical history unit.

Budget Narrative

The amount total will allow for 60 students (30 approx. in each class) to participate in this learning activity.
