Goal

Middle School students will be exposed to modern art technology by using 3D printer pens to create 3D artwork, while applying their knowledge from mathematics.

What will be done with my students

Students will be able to connect Scale Drawings to real-life as they use the 3D printer pen to create a scale model of building, given a specific scale and dimensions to use.

Benefits to my students

Hands-on Learning will allow students to fully understand the concept of Scale Drawings and apply scales in real-world scenarios. The 3D printer pen will be used in small-groups after the lesson on Scale Drawings is taught, to enable students to use their knowledge to create models using specific scales, provided.

Budget Narrative

Filament Colors (x1) for 3D print pens, 4 3D pen work mats for small group, 4 3D print pens for small group, and dry-erase markers for students to work out scale drawing problems while creating scale models with 3D print pens.
