Goal

To bring Callahan Middle School slowly into a new age of collecting data while conducting science experiments with data.

What will be done with my students

Our curriculum has multiple labs that have students collecting temperature data. From discovering which color absorbs the most heat, to determining whether sand or water heats up faster, these sensors will give students an advantage when collecting accurate data.

Benefits to my students

The infrared sensors will allow students to collect data about radiation with accuracy and ease without worrying about cleaning lab supplies. This will read temperatures without getting messy.

Budget Narrative

Amazon has the noncontact infrared thermometers for 19.00 and we would like 15 for our entire science department.
