Goal

The goal of Get Your Teach On is for Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Jones to travel to Connecticut to the Get Your Teach On conference. Mrs. Thompson is a leader in the elementary department at Wildlight Elementary and Mrs. Jones is a leader in the primary department at Wildlight Elementary. By sending both Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Jones to the conference, these leaders will be able to come back and share the instructional practices learned with all the teachers at Wildlight.  

What will be done with my students

After traveling to Connecticut, Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Jones will receive multiple teaching and engagement strategies to bring back to Wildlight Elementary. This conference is built to inspire teachers that will then come back and inspire students. If teachers do not take the time to stretch ourselves, push the limits, and step outside of our comfort zones, then our students won't either. By attending this conference, Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Jones will be able to inspire the teachers at Wildlight to take ordinary content and make it extraordinary for our students.  

Benefits to my students

By attending the Get Your Teach On Conference, Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Jones will bring fun back into the classroom. These leaders will bring back instructional practices that will increase the trailblazers' desires to learn, amp up the academic rigor, and challenge students to think beyond the standards.

 

Budget Narrative

The budget includes two tickets to the Get Your Teach On Conference. It includes one teacher's airfare (we would be over budget by including both teachers) and the hotel room for both teachers.
