Goal

The goal is to set up a site for a reusable archaeological dig that can be used for Social Studies, Science and Language Arts classes.

What will be done with my students

Students will be ask to mark grids, then dig and dust for objects and note the different layers of soil those objects are found in. They will draw out a detailed map of their site before they remove any objects. They will need to analyze what they have found and provide a fact-based hypothesis about what it means.

Benefits to my students

Students will have a hands-on opportunity integrating math, science and social studies.
