Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 122

I have been able to use various parts from the Algebra Curricuum and Interactive Notebook resources.  These include the guided notes and technology and interactive activities.  Thank you so much for making it possible for me to suppliment our district provided resources and create an environment where students can play academic games and interact with mathematical concepts.  I really like being able to pick and choose or put together guided notes to accomodate all students, but especially those with accomodations for written notes and assignments.

Original Grant Overview

Goal

The goal of the resources that I seek is to allow all students to be able to connect to Algebra content through various forms of assessments, activities, and study tools that work together to provide varying learning styles and modalities the opportunity to interact and retain mathematical concepts.

What will be done with my students

Students will participate in activities to allow them to interact with mathematical concepts through real world applications. Included in the Curriculum Packet are warm up activities as well as various assessments, practice, and reviews. Students will be able to use these resources to help organize Algebra 2 concepts into interactive notebooks with the notebook activities.

Benefits to my students

With all of the demands on meeting needs of various students and learning styles, it is imperative to provide multiple ways to interact and retain mathematical concepts. Students will benefit from having various ways to interact with the same concepts. The interactive notebook will provide students the opportunity to organize and self assess their progress. The resources work together to provide students with varying degrees of visual and organizational strategies where students will benefit from the real world applications, repetition, and connections. Students will benefit from having less, but more meaningful, homework to practice concepts. Together, these resources are a well-rounded resources to reach every student.

Budget Narrative

The Curriculum package allows for me to provide meaningful introductions, reviews, and practice of concepts. With the addition of the Activities Bundle, Students will interact with concepts and make connections through activities. Students will be able to create a collective notebook that is interactive and provides various learning styles opportunities to study while keeping all students organized.
