All of my students have access to a reliable calculator that allows them to do difficult calculations and check existing work. My current students and future students will continue to benefit form my classroom set of calculators. I love that all students in my class have the same accessibility and opportunity because I am able to provide for them in the classroom. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Original Grant Overview

Goal

My goal is to allow all students to have access to a reliable calculator for math class.

What will be done with my students

Students will be able to use scientific calculators to solve problems through basic calculations and prove solutions. With the amount of testing, students should have the opportunity to become familiar with basic calculator functions before state mandated testing. Students need calculators to perform basic and advanced mathematical concepts.

Benefits to my students

When solving problems in math, it is beneficial to have a calculator. It is also important to use calculators when checking your solutions to ensure accuracy.

Budget Narrative

Since class sizes fluctuate throughout the year, it is important to be able to provide a classroom calculator to each student. $16.39/calculator * 30 calculators = $491.70 through Office Depot.
