Goal

To provide reading materials and instructional games for after school tutoring students to increase reading comprehension and vocabulary knowledge.  

 

What will be done with my students

Students will be exposed to several types of reading materials including, non-fictional magazines, newspaper articles, high-interest science texts, and instructional learning games. Students will be taught reading and writing strategies on how to respond to text using text evidence.  

 

Benefits to my students

Students' reading comprehension and written knowledge will increase.

These instructional materials will be purchased from Lakeshore Learning company.
