Goal

To provide students the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of appropriately leveled literature at home.

What will be done with my students

The students will be able to select a book of interest from a wide variety of options such as fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, and chapter books for their required nightly reading.

Benefits to my students

Many students have limited access to good quality, appropriately leveled literature at home. The Take Home Readers will encourage parent, child, teacher conversations and literacy at home. A student selected book of interest will help motivated students to read and achieve their Accelerated Reader goal.

This money would be used to help strengthen student and parent interaction through student selected reading.
