Goal
Using our surrounding landscapes (river, timber, city, and sea), students will create 4 murals to exhibit throughout our school.
What will be done with my students
Advanced art students will explore suitable images that will define "Our World," through painting. Students will construct 4 (3'x14') canvas panels. Students will apply primers, and paint murals depicting our landscapes that surround our school community.
Benefits to my students
Research of our area and the resources found within our geographic boundaries. Knowledge and appreciation of the process to create stretched canvas, by constructing the frames and priming the canvas. Having a visual appreciation and sharing that vision with the students and community.
Budget Narrative
Students will demonstrate awareness of our environment and share their impressions of our landscapes through 4 large murals.
