Goal

The goal of this grant is to assist students with disabilities with the transition from high school to post-secondary education.

What will be done with my students

Students will take part in visits to local college campuses to explore the variety of career, technical and additional post-secondary opportunities.

Benefits to my students

Students will be able to make a transition plan to support their post-secondary goals. Including what courses/programs are needed in high school in order to make their transition successful.
Students will become knowledgable about admission and academic requirements necessary for post-secondary entrance.
Students will become familiar with their rights as students with disabilities in post-secondary education.

Budget Narrative

Fortunately, the colleges do not charge for group visits therefore, the need for this grant comes from transportation costs and substitute teachers. This budge will allow, at minimum, 2 local college visits, servicing 60 students with disabilities.
