Goal

Restock and refill chemistry lab. Complete a class set of ancillary textbooks.

What will be done with my students

The students will participate in chemistry labs. Students will also not have to share textbooks.

Benefits to my students

Some chemistry students do not understand why they must take chemistry. Allowing students to participate in labs shows them how they can apply what they are learning. It also takes it from being an abstract science to a tactile science.
The use of an ancillary textbook that uses real world situations shows students how chemistry applies to their world and the science becomes more interesting and real to them. In turn this stimulates interest to the point that chemistry and its ancillary careers become viable options to the students.
