I am a teacher in a Title I school. My students are faced with many challenges outside of the classroom that takes a toll on their learning in the classroom. Many of my students are living in motels, being raised by grandparents, or have no access to computers. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with equitable instruction that influences their learning experiences. Every child has the ability to learn and I intend to ensure that they show their best.

Project Goal

I am a teacher in a Title I school. My students are faced with many challenges outside of the classroom that takes a toll on their learning in the classroom. Many of my students are living in motels, being raised by grandparents, or have no access to computers. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with equitable instruction that influences their learning experiences. Every child has the ability to learn and I intend to ensure that they show their best.

How Project Benefits Students

Hello my name is Daphne and I have been teaching for 5 years. I have worked in a title 1 school my whole career. I enjoy impacting students lives to where they can see that they all can succeed. However, with our income it's hard to give them as much as I'd like. Everyday my students participate in different reading activities whether its through Daily 5 or during interactive lessons. The ipads/laptops will be used for centers and extra help in where students may need help. I have many student that are below level and can benefit from different interventions and activities. These laptops may also be used as a listening center. The listening center will give the students more independence and ownership on what they read and report on.

Expected Outcome(s)

With your help, my students will gain more knowledge then they possibly have been exposed to; as a teacher it is my duty to help my kids reach their potentials.
