To raise money to help purchase paint, banner paper, plaster, and other materials for our club members to use when participating in various activities on campus and in our community throughout the year. These activities are community based projects like running a kids craft tent at Art in Park, creating school murals on campus, participating at Relay for Life Cancer Walk, creating get well cards for a local Children's Hospital, painting windows for the holidays on local storefronts, and several other community projects.

Goal

To raise money to help purchase paint, banner paper, plaster, and other materials for our club members to use when participating in various activities on campus and in our community throughout the year. These activities are community based projects like running a kids craft tent at Art in Park, creating school murals on campus, participating at Relay for Life Cancer Walk, creating get well cards for a local Children's Hospital, painting windows for the holidays on local storefronts, and several other community projects.

What will be done with my students

Throughout the year our 60+ students meet on a weekly basis to participate in various community projects such as painting school pride murals on walls, creating plaster molds for children to paint at our cities art fair every November, creating clay ribbons to sell at our clubs tent at Relay for Life every April, collecting and painting recycled tires to use as planters on and around school campus, and creating a 100 page, full color magazine filled with artwork from our various art classes on campus.

Benefits to my students

Students have the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than themselves. They have an opportunity to help beautify the community and their school in such a way that will hopefully outlast their four years here. They learn that by working together, they can have fun and be expressive in ways that other school activities don't offer. Lastly, by being part of an honor society that participates in so many various activities where they can earn over 50 service hours a year, it helps them build their academic resume for colleges and opens up opportunities for various scholarships.

Budget Narrative

This list is just a small amount of what we actually need, but its a great start! The students constantly fundraise over the school year to help fund these activities, but by having some help, we could redirect our time and efforts to other awesome projects.
