Goal

Our goal is to increase student engagement and performance.

What will be done with my students

First, students meet together and are given a quick
overview of the challenges and discuss strategies for good
teamwork and sportsmanship.
Next, teams will then move to the activity tables to work on the various educational challenges.
1. As a team students must read direction.
2. Assess the task at hand.
3. Decide how to use the materials provided.
4. Organize.
5. Strategize.
6. Formulate a plan of action to accomplish the goals within a limited time frame.
After the challenges an award program is presented complete with giveaways for each student.

Benefits to my students

HoPS will enhance critical and creative thinking by using and applying problem-solving strategies. It will increase reading comprehension through written and verbal communication. Students will learn how to accept challenges and take risks, work within diverse teams, persevere through failure and an entrepreneurial spirit.
