Goal

My goal is for my students to have the tools and materials needed to help them reach grade level and access standards. Teaching 2nd to 5th grade students with autism, I have students working at all different levels. It is crucial to differentiate and support all of my students' learning styles and needs.

What will be done with my students

With these ready-made math centers, my students will have additional tools to support their learning and engage them with hands on math.

I plan to use these centers to enforce math skills that they have been taught. Students will also have an opportunity to work together and learn from one another.

Benefits to my students

The benefits to my students include a variety of activities and materials that can be used to reinforce the math skills that have been taught. Additionally, my students will be able to work on social skills as they collaborate and work with their classmates. Students will have the opportunity to use games, folder activities, and ready-made math centers.

Describe the Students

My students are 2nd to 5th grade students with autism. I teach math and science and have a group of 12 students in the morning and a group of 11 students in the afternoon. All of my students receive weekly social skills and need breaks throughout the day to complete work. My students have varying needs including physical therapy, language therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and DHH services.
