Goal

To provide opportunities for students to visit college campuses.

What will be done with my students

Our AVID program fundraises to bring down the cost of college trips, but with the rising costs, it becomes increasingly difficult to make the cost affordable for students. We also like to prefer "scholarships" for students who are on track to meet admission requirements for college but cannot afford to pay for the trip.

Benefits to my students

Visiting a college campus makes the dream of college more tangible. The will hear from college admission counselors and financial aid advisors firsthand.

The students are high performing students from a low socioeconomic demographic

Budget Narrative

Scholarships for students to attend field trip will be spread out for the multiple college trips we take throughout the year. We are estimated to take 4 day trips and 1 overnight trip. Scholarships will be for students on track to meet admissions requirements and qualify for free/reduced lunch.
