Goal

To create a sensory and emotional regulation "library" for teachers to sign out sensory items to utilize as Tier 1 and Tier 2 interventions for students. By providing this sensory "library", teachers will have access to more items that can support student needs and increase engagement.

What will be done with my students

The goal of this project is to implement a permanent sensory and emotional regulation "library" that will be utilized by all teachers and all students at our school. Kits to implement emotional regulation learning will be available to staff to utilize during health class. PBIS rewards classroom program will be available to help teacher integrate PBIS into their classroom. Alternative seating will be available to increase engagement. Sensory and calm down items will be available to utilize for student supports.

Benefits to my students

This project will allow students and teachers access to itmes that are not provided through existing school funds that will provide additional supports to students. Through behavior regulation kits, teacher can do whole group lessons to support students in learning behavior regulation. Having alternative seating options will allow students who need opportunities for movement to do so in an appropriate way and increase engagement. Having sensory and cool down boxes will allow teachers additional supports for students who struggle without sensory and calm down tools. PBIS rewards programs will help teachers start classroom level PBIS which will significantly increase student engagement and further support student needs.

Describe the Students
