Goal

My goal is to create a welcoming, productive space in my School Counselor office for students during individual and small group counseling sessions.

What will be done with my students

School Counselors provide individual and small group counseling sessions as well as classroom activities that help enhance students' academic, career, and emotional development. Individual and small group sessions are held in the School Counselor's office. Functional materials such as children's books, sensory items, games, and lesson materials and reproducible activities are used to build rapport and support counseling sessions.

Benefits to my students

The School Counselor aims to improve students' academic performance and social skills; thereby, making the classroom more conducive to teaching and learning. By creating a supportive, comfortable environment in the School Counselor's office, students will have a safe place to address areas of need.
