Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 15

This grant being funded means that my students are going to get the best educational experience and opportunities possible in our in class science and math center. We will be able to multiple science experiments, including raising butterflies in class and watching how volcanoes erupt and what that looks like. Thank you so much for providing my class with the opportunities to learn through play and experience.i will come back to send photos once the materials have been received and some of the experiments have been done.

Original Grant Overview

Goal

Research shows that play-based learning can be more effective than direct instruction at improving outcomes for early learners, particularly in the development of mathematic and spatial skills. The goal in our classroom is to provide the most fun and educational setting that will entice our students to want to learn through guided play.  

 

What will be done with my students

With funding we will:
- Have more science experiments.
- Create a music center where students can create and improve music skills.
- Improve our art center and space 

 

Benefits to my students

By integrating music, art and science into our classroom daily, we are promoting collaboration and creativity, thus helping to create critical thinkers and also improving motivation, thinking and academic performance.  

 

Describe the Students

We are working to create high performing scholars in our classroom. Our students come from many different backgrounds and they each learn differently.
