Goal

We are hoping to find funding for $345 in order to pay for a bus to take us to the Holocaust Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida.

What will be done with my students

We would like to take three 5th grade classes to the Holocaust Museum in Saint Petersburg, Florida. We are not able to use school buses due to time constraints, so we are looking to an outside source for transportation. We are using Assured Transportation and the cost is $345.00.

Benefits to my students

Not only does this field trip support our ELA and social studies curriculum, it will provide “hands-on” experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. It will also provide much better insight into the tragedies of the Holocaust than any book can provide.

Describe the Students

Our school is a Title One/Transformation Zone school made up of students from a lower socioeconomic demographic. Additionally, we have ESE, ASD, and General Ed students attending.
