Thank you to the following investor for funding this grant.
Tash Elwyn - $878.88
My goal is to bridge the learning gap due to the pandemic by allowing all my students the opportunity to engage with technology to get them on grade level by having computer time daily. My students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and I want to get them the experience with working with technology.
I plan to use the laptops daily during our center time. Students will be able to access reading and math programs that will help them be successful in 1st grade. I also want to teach my students how to use Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to create projects.
Many of my students don't have the opportunity to work with technology at home so getting these laptops will level the playing field and allow all my students the opportunity to become familiar with technology. I want to encourage them to be computer savvy in this world of technology.
My students are 1st graders they come from low socioeconomic families with daily struggles. My class consist of a mixture of low and high performers. I will be able to differentiate learning and reach each of their individual goals and learning styles.
With this grant my children will be able to independently work at their own pace with a laptop assigned to each student. I want to enable each student to have the same opportunity and to enhance their technology skills so they can be successful.
