Goal

Enrollment for the Volusia Online Learning program has grown by 400% because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We want our elementary students to have a positive experience and be excited about their new learning environment. Remember getting your new school supplies for your first day of school? These kits will help our students make a smooth transition to our online platform by giving them all the necessary tools they need to be comfortable and successful on their first day, and each day thereafter.

What will be done with my students

Students and their families will pick up the supply kits at designated locations throughout the district during the week of August 10. The kits will be specific to grade levels and include small objects that help with teaching math, grade level reading books, science lab materials, USB storage device, headphone with microphone, art supplies and other items a family may not typically have at home for students to complete their work.

Benefits to my students

Full-time enrollment in Volusia Online Learning is available for K-12 students. Historically, most students who have enrolled are in middle and high school. These supplies will allow elementary students to actively engage in the content while cementing the foundations of learning for academic growth.
