Goal

My goal is to encourage children to read more often and thus improve their fluency and comprehension skills.

What will be done with my students

Students will be able to read current content from a variety of children's magazines on subjects that they find interesting. Students will also be able to check out the magazines to read at home. Subscriptions will also have academic content that be used for research projects and classroom discussions.

Benefits to my students

By providing students with current material that is interesting to them, they will be motivated to read more often. The more students read, the more likely they will do well in school. Also, magazines will help the students have a better understanding of the world around them.

Budget Narrative

I chose six magazine subscriptions based on the current students' interests.
