I am interested in purchasing additional geometry instructional materials that are no longer available for free published by the University of Florida titled "Math Nation Geometry." By purchasing these workbooks I will be able to further differentiate my instruction for special education students by showing videos and other resources that are available for Geometry. It will also be a tool used for review for the Florida Standards assessment in May.

Goal

I am interested in purchasing additional geometry instructional materials that are no longer available for free published by the University of Florida titled "Math Nation Geometry." By purchasing these workbooks I will be able to further differentiate my instruction for special education students by showing videos and other resources that are available for Geometry. It will also be a tool used for review for the Florida Standards assessment in May.

What will be done with my students

By purchasing these workbooks I will be able to further differentiate my instruction for special education students by showing videos and other resources that are available for Geometry. It will also be a tool used for review for the Florida Standards assessment in May. I believe these materials will help my students pass Geometry and the Florida Standards Assessment.

Benefits to my students

My students will benefit by repeating instruction, showing them the curriculum in a different way and reviewing important content that is tested at the end of the year. By doing this my students should benefit by reinforcing their learning. These books are created using the latest instructional research conducted by the University of Florida College of Education.

Describe the Students

.): Our school is a Center School for students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. The school focuses not only on academic instruction, but also behavior modification. The goal is to improve student behavior so that the student can return to a general education setting. Our students are in the Highest Poverty Area, with all students receiving free breakfast and lunch. Many students are housed in group homes and many of our other students reside in unstable home environments. The vast majority of students are low performers as a result of multiple factors including their disabilit(ies).
