Goal

My goal is to be able to provide flexible seating for my students during guided practice for math intervention in order to increase engagement and focus. This will help increase their proficiency with math.

What will be done with my students

The flexible seating will be permanently integrated within my classroom intervention area for guided practice. By integrating movement within math intervention curriculum, the students will be more engaged during collaborative opportunities.

Benefits to my students

60 students will benefit from this flexible seating during their math intervention groups. When given opportunities to move with boundaries, engagement and motivation is increased. This will in turn boost achievement in math.

Describe the Students

My elementary students are low performers in need of daily small group math intervention.

Budget Narrative

$240.87 will cover enough floor cushions, kickbands, and portable lap desks for my scholars during math intervention to ensure choice in type of movement needed for engagement.
