Goal

At Fairmount Park Elementary, our goal is to celebrate positive behaviors of scholars in order to promote the growth of lifelong learning and academic excellence by teaching the whole child. PBIS helps to foster a positive self-concept, creativity, self-discipline, values and life skills, which leads the scholar to success!

What will be done with my students

Students will continue to receive incentives and schoolwide events recognizing their positive behavior and academic success by following schoolwide SOAR expectations. (Self-control, Own your own actions, Always do your best, Respect yourself).

Benefits to my students

This grant will help to support and grow the positive school culture that has occurred over the last few years. Incentives will motivate scholars to do their best to come to school and be active learners in and out of their classrooms.

Describe the Students

Many of our scholars are faced with adverse and often traumatic life experiences including low SES, food and housing insecurities making it difficult to value school as a priority.

Budget Narrative

The funds will help to provide clean uniforms, which will decrease the barriers of coming to school. The Schoolwide Incentives will be valuable in helping us reward positive behavior with fidelity. Also, by being able to provide and host schoolwide events it will increase our positive relationships with families and community members.
