Thank you to the following investor for funding this grant.
Pinellas Education Foundation - $4,979.13
I would like to give my Photography and Digital Arts classes the opportunity to work with new technology and equipment and supplies. These would include a large format printer, 2 new lenses , ink and paper for the printer.
Photo and Digital students create work daily, but do not often get the chance to print out their work because of the cost of the ink and photo paper. I would like to give the students a chance to be able to have a tangible piece of their own artwork. By having a large format printer, it could be used to create poster size images of their work for county shows and displays in and around our campus.
This will give the students an opportunity to showcase their original art work on a large scale. It is important for art students to get their work seen. This will allow the photo and digital students to make copies of their work to be hung in multiple shows.
The photography and digital classes are open to all 10th 11th & 12th grade students who have completed an entry level Studio Art class. The classes are typically made up of a combination of the three grades and a mixture of students of all abilities. ELL students and ESE students can be successful in these visual art classes
All of the equipment and supplies can be ordered from the supplier B & H Photo in NY. This is a supplier that Pinellas County schools uses for Photo classroom supplies.
