Goal

The goal of my request is to provide my scholars another avenue of learning using 21st-century technology.

What will be done with my students

iPads will be used in my classroom as a tool to engage scholars in new topics, motivate them to pursue complex ideas, and reinforce important skills and concepts that will guide them to success.

Benefits to my students

Using iPads will allow scholars to access educational applications, create digital projects, assess understanding, and conduct research. iPads will allow scholars to take control of their own learning. iPads will provide struggling scholars with opportunities for practice and reinforcement, while also providing enriching experiences for scholars who are ready to go a step further. It will allow me to provide individualized educational experiences for each and every child based on their needs, interests, and motivators. Scholars will become more prepared than ever for first grade.

Describe the Students

Melrose Elementary School is a Title 1 school located in St. Petersburg, FL. My classroom consists of 18 scholars in which 100 percent are economically disadvantaged. Approximately , 50 percent of scholars are low performers.
