Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 19

Your gracious donation impacted my classroom in many ways. I  was able to provide my students with a comfortable and safe learning environment that allowed them to learn at their highest potential. I was able to purchase a rug and pillows for them to use during independent reading times. The literacy and math work stations provided them the opportunity to learn and grow at their individual levels. I was also able to provide them with individual bags for them to keep their reading books in. This allowed them to take books home to read and night and return them the next day. Without your donation I would not have been able to provide these instructional items for my classroom. It is greatly appreciated!!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

My goal with this grant is to use it to purchase items for my classroom. I would like to have these items purchased before students come to class so they're prepared and ready to start the school year off on a positive note.

What will be done with my students

With this grant I would purchase large bags for the students to keep their library and leveled guided reading books in. I will also purchase some items, such as, pillows and rugs for a comfortable area for students to go if they need a few minutes to themselves and new work station materials for Math and ELA.

Benefits to my students

This grant opportunity would benefit all of my students by helping them be prepared and organized for the day and entire 2018-2019 school year.

Describe the Students

At this time I am not familiar with my students for next year. My class last year consisted of 3 ESE students, low performers (Pre-A readers), as well as high performers (Level Q readers). I look forward to meeting my students in August and helping them become successful learners.

Budget Narrative

These items would be purchased at Lakeshore Learning and Target.
