Goal

Obtain a one year, individual teacher license to Explore Learning (http://www.explorelearning.com/) in which the teacher and all her students will have access to the gizmos and lessons provided. Experiencing learning through doing is the best way to teach science!

What will be done with my students

Explore learning offers interactive gizmos related to a vast majority of concepts that correlate with the Florida State Standards. Students will use Gizmos throughout the school year in a variety of settings. Gizmos may be used in whole group setting (with a smartboard), individual in class, or as reinforcement at home. This resource will be used for each concept to provide application based learning to ensure active engagement, enrichment and understanding for all students.

Benefits to my students

This grant will benefit one teacher and all of her students to ensure academic success in science while implementing STEM. Gizmos will provide the application based learning that the students can use to connect their learning in the classroom to real world applications. It provides a great use for hands-on and minds-on learning to provide class enrichment and engagement. Students are able to simulate experiments often times impossible to perform in the classroom lab.
