Goal

Our goal is to increase the number of students obtaining mastery in the basic facts of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division by the end of third grade to ensure the students' foundational skills are met.

What will be done with my students

The Apple iPads will be utilized everyday within the classroom for approximately 30 minutes during our structured activity rotational center time. All apps purchased will be in-line with the Florida State Standards for 3rd Grade Mathematics to aid with students progression towards mastery.

Benefits to my students

Through the use of this technology, we will be able to engage our students in a unique way as they are motivated, on task, and actually having fun while learning. There will be approximately 60 students rotating through my classroom daily for math instruction (three 90 minute math blocks). This school year, I am setting an expected outcome of 90% proficiency for our 3rd grade mathematicians!
