Project Goal

We would like to provide our students an opportunity to attend an end of the year school field trip to Busch Gardens if they show exceptional character and responsibility during this school year.

How Project Benefits Students

Most of our students live close to Busch Gardens, but due to a variety of circumstances, most have never been to Busch Gardens. They spent the first part of the school year learning about roller coasters and how they work in both their science class and reading class. Being able to bring that learning to life with a real experience will solidify that learning and create a lasting memory. We also hope to see a benefit in character development as we high expectations when we go to Busch Gardens.

Expected Outcome(s)

This will help our entire fifth grade which includes 64 students and 3 teachers. This grant will be used to help supplement the cost of entry to Busch Gardens as well as transportation to and from. As mentioned before, most students have not been to Busch Gardens and would benefit from this experience.

Detailed Cost Summary

The discounted entry to Busch Gardens for a large group is approximately $60. We will supplement 1/2 the cost for each student with this grant.
