Project Goal

To help bring the library into the 21st century by adding a second laptop bar of new touch screen computers, bar stools, and laptop locks to help students create content and become technologically literate.

How Project Benefits Students

By adding seven new computers at a counter and comfortable bar stools we will create an area for students to work collaboratively with technology on today's computers. Our desktop labs are old and they often cannot handle the media and content creation students need to be able to do to stay competitive with other students in the technology field.

Expected Outcome(s)

Students will be able to work on more multimedia projects and become more fluent with web 2.0 applications.

Detailed Cost Summary

We are asking for a grant to purchase the bar stools. The laptops will be purchased with title 1 funds and the laptop locks have been purchased through the classroom supply assistance program.
