Statewide Reach for Local Impact

FIND IT FUND IT FLORIDA

The Seminole Ridge Community High School Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC} Academy requests you support our Hawks in our Leadership program. JROTC develops citizenship in students by giving them leadership and civics skills as well as an overall understanding of physical and mental wellness. The program also has great success in promoting graduation from high school, and it provides instruction and rewarding opportunities that will benefit the individual student, the community, and the nation. In order to accomplish our goals, we blend classroom instruction with off-campus and after-school activities that include field trips, community service programs, Awards Night, Military Ball, Summer Camp, and Drill, Air Rifle, Raider, and Academic team competitions. Financing these efforts is challenging. The JROTC program needs approximately $25,000 a year to run the wide variety of events that support our mission.

What will be done with my students

We blend classroom instruction with off-campus and after-school activities that include field trips, community service programs, Awards Night, Military Ball, Leadership Summer Camp, and Drill, Air Rifle, Raider, and Academic team competitions.

Benefits to my students

Competitions build unit pride, confidence, and leadership skills. Cadets will also gain valuable experience allowing them to become leaders in the upcoming years as they earn higher rank and continue to grow as a battalion and as individuals.

Budget Narrative

The JROTC teams and activities are funded through fundraising. We are the only school program that does not charge parents for the kids to participate and rely solely on fundraising.
