Goal
When students are upset, anxious, or frustrated, they come to my office as a safe place to release their emotions. Having the proper items to assist in emotional regulation is important for a quick recovery to get students back in the classroom.
What will be done with my students
The items give the students the opportunity to release their emotions in a healthy way, in a safe space. The students will realize to seek out the Calming Corner before they lash out inappropriate manner. It will help to create a safe calm campus.
Benefits to my students
The Calm Corner should help to alleviate bullying, fights and social conflicts over the course of the school. It promote self-regulation skills to help students as they transition to high school and beyond.
