Goal
My goal is to have resources for my students during our small group blocks in order to build reading fundamentals. While also focusing on fluency since most of my students are Multilanguage Learners.
What will be done with my students
This will allow my students to build the necessary skills needed to grow and progress to the next level as readers. Currently, my students are below grade level by one or two years when it comes to reading. Many of my students are Multilanguage learners with socioeconomic disadvantages. I would like to have skill block rotation stations for my students. I will work with small groups and students will be at their specific station working on skills to help them become stronger readers. My goal is to have all my students make at least one year of reading growth.
Benefits to my students
My students will expand their vocabulary, writing, and fluency skills. This will nurture and develop a love for books and reading. The resource will help them learn the skills of decoding words in order to help them read. It will also help them understand and develop fluency with reading in a comfortable environment. The goal is to have 100% of my students make a year's growth in reading.
