Statewide Reach for Local Impact

FIND IT FUND IT FLORIDA

Every year students flock towards the non-fiction section of the media center. I would like to use this grant to update our nonfiction books. The world is changing and new ideas, topics, and interests are ever changing. I would like to give students access to more titles about topics they are interested in.

Goal

Every year students flock towards the non-fiction section of the media center. I would like to use this grant to update our nonfiction books. The world is changing and new ideas, topics, and interests are ever changing. I would like to give students access to more titles about topics they are interested in.

What will be done with my students

Nonfiction books are checked out most often by our younger readers. These students need books that are written at a lower level to reach their reading needs. I would like to purchase that they can read on their own or ones that are full of exciting pictures.

Benefits to my students

With this purchase, student circulation in our nonfiction collection will increase. The amount of new knowledge or discovery will increase.

Budget Narrative

I will use an approved book vendor for our district to purchase books that are processed for our library using HCPS specifications. Books cost between $20-25 for library bound copies. With this grant I could purchase 60-70 books.
