Goal

The goal of this project is to provide students with tools to develop their reading and spelling ability, and to entice students to read more complex texts through the chapter books.  

What will be done with my students

The students will benefit from this project because they will be able to further their literacy skills. The magnetic letters will allow students to develop their word reading and spelling. The letters allow students to interact with words in a tactile manner. The chapter books will allow students to further their reading comprehension and push them into more challenging texts.  

Benefits to my students

As a result of this project being funded, a multitude of first grade students will further their reading skills and become more confident in their reading ability. These resources will help them in a FUN and ENGAGING way!
