Goal

I would like to give my students the opportunity to work on their core subjects through the use of technology.  

What will be done with my students

By having more technology students are given more opportunity to work with their teacher on skills since more students are engaged in tasks they like and are on their level. This can be used across subject areas.  

Benefits to my students

All my students will make gains in Reading AND Math through the use of district programs and other free apps. They will begin to enjoy reading and find things that interest them through reading that will not leave them when they leave my classroom. Students can more easily be engaged in their own research/inquiry when it comes to Science as well with more available technology!  

Budget Narrative

On Amazon I quoted a set of 20 headphones for $42.95 that would help me keep students accountable for their own headphones, keep germs to themselves, and ensure their focus while using the devices. Having 6 iPads and cases to withhold first graders will ensure that my students have the ability to work on their online lessons, be exposed to electronic books, and MORE! In a previous school having additional iPads (I only have 4 computers in my room now) GREATLY improved engagement during small group time as well as scores. This would give be approximately half of my class the ability to have a device so whole group tasks would only require partners, which would especially help if I end up keeping students from the class we currently do not have staff for making my class size above 20!
